Why I write
|
Human beings are storytellers; this seems to be the primary way we make sense of the world and our place within it. This is essentially why I write. In the words of Elie Wiesel, “I write to understand as much as to be understood.”

To break it down a little more, I write mostly to express myself and to teach. Usually, this takes the form of narrative non-fiction. Underneath all my writing is an insatiable drive to create meaning both for myself and for the world.
